Vertical Leap is pleased to offer this exciting new position for a Sales Support Executive to join our business development team.  This is an entry-level role, with the expectation to grow through on-the-job training into a Business Development Manager position with personal targets, clients, and opportunities to manage.

As Sales Support, you will be a crucial member of our team supporting our Business Development Managers as we look to nurture prospects and build relationships to grow and diversify our client base.

About you

  • Strong learning mentality, attention to detail, and a passion for hitting targets.
  • Manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and be accountable while potentially working on a number of tasks in a fast-paced industry.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, especially with regards to telephone manner, emailing, and presenting.
  • Some understanding of digital marketing, especially SEO and PPC, and the benefits this will bring to clients.
  • Firm grasp of how to use PowerPoint.
  • Any previous experience in digital marketing, sales, or working in an agency will be advantageous.
  • Strong team player.
  • A good LinkedIn presence will also be a valuable asset.


  • Supporting the sales team with building and delivering proposals. This will require working directly with our Business Development Managers, as well as the wider team to identify opportunities, recommendations, and findings to include within our proposals.
  • Attending meetings with Business Development Managers to support with pitches, take notes, and learn directly on the job. This is currently online, but there will also be opportunities to attend onsite meetings in the future.
  • Calling and emailing prospects and managing other communications. There may be a small element of cold calling, but this will be delivered from a prospect list that we have previously engaged with.
  • Attending events, conferences, and exhibitions to represent the company, obtain new prospects, and drive brand awareness to potential future clients. In the future there be opportunities to attend some of the biggest marketing events in the UK, as well as local marketing events. May require occasional nights away from home.
  • There will also be an element of CRM management, working closely with our marketing team to create campaigns to re-engage old prospects.
