We are delighted to announce that we are officially partnering with local mental health charity, Solent Mind.
Solent Mind works to empower and support anyone who suffers with a mental health problem, aiming to raise awareness and promote understanding. Their approach is recovery focused, person-centred and individual.
The partnership means staff at Vertical Leap can benefit from a number of resources to assist with their workplace wellbeing and brings greater focus to the importance of maintaining good mental health, both in and out of work. Employees will be invited to volunteer at Solent Mind events throughout the year, at their wellbeing centres or in other ways that they’d like to give back to the community.
Vertical Leap Marketing Manager, Michelle Hill, said: “We are delighted to have established this partnership for two main reasons: Firstly, the mental health of our employees is extremely important to us – it has already inspired us to set up monthly, informal group sessions where we will be picking a particular topic (sleep, depression, budgeting etc.) to share stories and advice with each other. And secondly, quite a few of the Vertical Leap team like to volunteer in their spare time and this partnership offers some great opportunities to do that.”
Victoria Hall, Head of Business and Corporate Relations at Solent Mind, said: “It was fantastic meeting the Vertical Leap team and establishing an ongoing partnership that not only supports Solent Mind via fundraising, but also promotes best practice around workplace wellbeing which the team are so passionate about. We very much look forward to the year ahead”
